MEETINGS
I Listen Therefore I Am
I LISTEN THEREFORE I AM, is the title of the sixth issue of “Future Landscapes at the Vigne Museum” which took place on Saturday 27 November at the Vigne Museum and at the Abbazia di Rosazzo (Ud) devoted to the publishing project NO MAN’S BOOK / Everyone’s Book (DI PAOLO EDIZIONI), series of artist's books produced by the homonymous Foundation with the preview presentation of the latest volume ASCOLTO created by the artist Liliana Moro and edited by Cecilia Casorati.
Created to extend artworks to an attentive public interested in contemporary art, each publication of No Man's Book involves the participation of a single artist left free to range over the space of the publication as if it were an exhibition space. A solo exhibition in book form. In addition to the new work by Liliana Moro, the series includes artist books by Yona Friedman, Jimmie Durham and Maria Thereza Alves, all edited by Lorenzo Benedetti.
Developed in collaboration with RAM radioartemobile and with The No Man’s Land Foundation, the 2021 issue of Future Landscapes thus confirms the interdisciplinary nature of the Vigne Museum, once again involving important exponents of the world of art and culture to reflect on current issues related to society and environmental issues with particular attention to the relationship between man and nature. Art and science as the driving force for possible future scenarios of growth and social awareness.
Participants in the meeting were: Liliana Moro (artist), Cecilia Casorati (President of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and contemporary art curator), Dora Stiefelmeier (Scientific committee of the No Man's Land Foundation), Isabella and Tiziana Pers (artists and founders of RAVE East Village Artists Residency), Leonardo Caffo (philosopher). Edoardo Vigna (editor-in-chief of Corriere della Sera and in charge of the Planet 2021 insert). Meeting moderator Giovanna Felluga (artistic director, Vigne Museum).
The program of activities began at the Vigne Museum with a welcome greeting from Elda Felluga (President of the Vigne Museum Cultural Association) followed by a visit to the artistic-architectural structure built in 2014 by the architect Yona Friedman with the artist Jean -Baptiste Decavèle. The Vigne Museum, dedicated to Livio Felluga for his centenary, is an ideal museum of the vine and the landscape, located among the historic vineyards of Rosazzo, in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, only a short distance from the evocative Benedictine Abbey that dominates the surrounding landscapeas far as the sea.
