PERFORMANCE

Pilgrim

Andrea Hackl, Robbert van Hulzen

Andrea Hackl, dancer / choreographer / performer, accompanied by drummer / composer Robbert van Hulzen, performed within the Vigne Museum with PILGRIM, a show specially adapted for the occasion, which came to Rosazzo to celebrate 60 years of the map of the area, the historic Livio Felluga label with worldwide recognition.

Curated by Mattatoioscenico, organised by Omissis International Performing Arts Festival, the show saw the two artists working together again after a gap of 7 years. A single act of 40 minutes, in which the physicality of Hackl and experimental sounds of van Hulzen were in dialogue with Friedman-Decavèle's architecture in a unique and unrepeatable ensemble. The sound element was predominant, combining with the atmosphere through light / dark shades, with mystic and celebratory tones; it transported the audience to an experience with a strong emotional impact.

PILGRIM not by chance.
In fact, the themes of pilgrimage and journeying, which play a significant part in every one of Hackl’s projects, resurface in the show, evoking the concept of the rite of passage, clearly highlighted in the words of the Hafez poem "This Place where you are now".

Hafiz's poem speaks of the journey and the pilgrimage that each one of us makes through life, how every place we go, each place we visit is predestined for us. He speaks of wisdom and truth, qualities that belong to us all. Ideas from afar thanks to the individual journeys that each artist has made in the East during their career, and even just a few days before the show at the Vigne Museum.

Thus, the Vigne Museum shares common themes with the spirit and work of Hackl and van Hulzen, reconfirming its nature as a virtual museum, a meeting place, a transition in which every guest leaves a significant contribution and receives in exchange an experience to pass on.
